Are plastic pallets cheaper than wood?
Pallets made from plastic pallets can have a higher purchase price compared to wooden pallets. But they are MUCH more durable, typically lasting over 10 years. Where a plastic pallet might make 250 trips over its life, a wooden pallet will struggle to make more than five or six. They’re also considerably lighter, so they can help to reduce load weights and therefore fuel costs.
