Macfarlane Packaging Launches New Inflatable Packaging System, Airsac
Macfarlane Packaging has launched a new inflatable packaging system, Airsac, for the internet retail and electronic repair sectors. Airsac minimises damages and returns, ensuring products are delivered in pristine condition.
Airsac is an inflatable packaging system developed by Wolverhampton-based Network Packaging, which is now part of the Macfarlane Group following its acquisition last year.
- Airsac minimises damages and returns, ensuring products are delivered in pristine condition
- The system is environmentally friendly and composed of only 2% film and 98% air
- It is 100% recyclable and can be reused
- Airsac is available in a wide range of sizes and can be customised to specific customer requirements.
The Airsac system will be particularly beneficial to the internet retail and electronic repair sectors as it has been designed specifically for fragile and breakable goods that are often mailed to customers such as wine, mobile phones, damage-prone IT components and TVs. Based on our learning from Network Packaging, we are today making Airsac accessible nationally to Macfarlane’s extensive customer base in the UK who will see the benefits of this innovative product.
“The feedback from the customers of Network Packaging who are using Airsac is that they are benefitting from reduced damage, lower returns and also an enhanced experience for their customers as they consistently receive their products in excellent condition. The added benefit of Airsac being 100% recyclable, has also been an important feature for the customers of Network Packaging.”
