Stock Polythene Packaging

An amazingly simple, yet highly effective, budget packing solution with broad flexibility, in particular for protecting long length items such as piping, tubing and wooden mouldings.

Layflat polythene tubing can be used to make polythene bags to size by using a heat sealer.

Pallet top sheets are designed to protect stretch-wrapped pallets from wet weather and dust during transit and in storage. A warehouse essential, these tough-wearing sheets are supplied on a perforated roll for easy separation and handling.

To apply the polythene sheet, simply pull the stretch film to the top of the pallet, lay the sheet over, then add a further layer of stretch film, securing the polythene between the layers.

All pallet top sheets are supplied centre folded. The dimensions displayed show the width of the sheet opened out.

These general purpose polythene sheets are designed to protect items in storage from dust and moisture.

Sheets are unperforated to provide maximum value and minimum waste, allowing you to cut to the size you need, for which we recommend using a packing knife.

Supplied centre folded for ease of handling, the polythene sheet dimensions described show the width of the sheet opened out.

LDPE shrink wrap films keep products and pallets dust, dirt and water free during transit and in storage.

Sealing around loads requires a shrink film heat system. A shrink film dispenser is also recommended for fast application and storage of shrink film rolls in use. All LDPE shrink films are supplied on a centre-folded roll for easy use. Dimensions show the width of film opened out.

Shrink wrap pallet covers provide protective cover from wet weather, dirt and dust in transit and storage, while the transparent polythene construction enables easy identification of the contents.

To use, simply place the pallet cover over the pallet, which acts as a bag. Use a heat shrink film gun to shrink the cover to a tight fit for the pallet and contents.

Super heavy-duty shrink film pallet covers are supplied on a roll as gusseted sacks and perforated for easy removal from the roll.

To calculate the size of gusseted pallet cover needed, measure:

• Length of pallet load plus 75mm
• Width of pallet load plus 100mm
• Height of pallet Load plus 50% of width plus 100mm

Polyolefin shrink film is not as corrosive as PVC shrink film, and has a higher yield and clarity. It is also stronger, more flexible and can withstand lower storage temperatures.

This product aids machine usability by creating less build up of material on machine sealing wires, whilst being compatible with manual, semi and fully automatic machines.

Another benefit – Polyolefin shrink film does not give off harmful gases which could be hazardous to the environment.
