Inflatable protective packaging, such as Airsac®, is a type of cushioning material designed to protect products during shipping and handling. It consists of air-filled chambers that absorb shock and prevent damage.
This packaging works by creating a barrier of air around the product. When the packaging is inflated, it forms a tight cushion that absorbs impacts and vibrations, protecting the contents from damage.
Inflatable packaging is very lightweight, this is because solutions like Airsac® consists of 2% material and 98% air. It’s easy to use, provides excellent protection, reduces shipping costs and saves on storage space as it inflates on demand.
Air filled protective packaging can be inflated with either a handheld pump or, an air compressor, depending on the number of packs you use. Solutions like Airsac® are fitted with a valve which holds the inflator in place.
Yes, it can often be reused if it has not been damaged or deflated. Reusability depends on the condition of the packaging after the initial use
Yes, Airsac can be made to the size you require, custom print is also available.
Bespoke designs are subject to minimum order volumes.
While it is versatile and suitable for many products, it may not be ideal for extremely sharp items that require specialist protection.
Airsac Inflatable protective packaging is made with recycled material and can be recycled with bags at polythene collection points, like your local supermarket.
