Corrugated packaging is a versatile, eco-friendly packaging solution, designed to offer excellent product protection for a wide range of products.
Corrugating paper strengthens the material and improves its ability to absorb impact during transit, reducing the risk of product damage.
Single wall corrugated paper features of a layer of corrugated board sandwiched between two flat layers of paper to make a sheet of corrugated cardboard.
In contrast, double wall corrugated paper contains two layers of fluted paper sandwiched between three pieces of liner paper to separate them.
Corrugated paper is a flexible and cost-effective packaging material that is frequently used in packing due to its strength, durability, natural cushioning and shock-absorbing properties. Despite its strength, corrugated paper is relatively lightweight, which helps reduce shipping costs and makes handling easier.
Typically made from recycled paper, it’s 100% kerbside recyclable and fully customisable. You can cut, fold and shape into various forms to create the pack you need and it can also be printed with your brand logo.
Whilst the make up of corrugated paper is very similar to corrugate board, with a fluted paper sandwiched between two outer layers, it's much more flexible than cardboard. Cardboard outer layers are made of a rigid liner board, whilst corrugated paper has flexible paper layers.
Cardboard sheets can be used as layer pads to provide stability and protection between different layers of products in cardboard boxes and on pallets. You can cut our layer pads to size to fit the pack you’re shipping.

Corrugated paper is a great eco-friendly packaging choice as it’s made from renewable materials. Both our cardboard sheets and corrugated paper rolls are manufactured from recycled fibres and are easily recyclable – making them extra environmentally-friendly.
Corrugated paper is not inherently waterproof. It is made from layers of paperboard with a corrugated inner layer and paper in its natural form is susceptible to moisture and water damage. While corrugated paper can resist water to some extent due to its thickness and texture, it will eventually absorb moisture and lose its structural integrity if exposed to prolonged or excessive moisture.
To make corrugated paper waterproof or water-resistant, additional treatments or coatings, such as wax or plastic laminations, would be required. These treatments can help protect the paper from moisture and make it more suitable for use in damp or wet environments.
