Macfarlane Packaging provides a range of handling and storage products. Options include plastic containers for moving parts within production facilities or wider supply chains, vacuum formed trays tailored to handling specific parts, and shelf bins for storing smaller parts and components.
Whilst performing the same function, there are differences between moulded plastic and Correx® products. Available in stock sizes, they also tend to have cheaper unit costs. Correx® on the other hand can be converted into a range of custom products which, crucially, can also be in bespoke sizes. This can result in cost savings due to improved efficiency, even if they do not have quite the same longevity as moulded items.
A vacuum formed tray is typically manufactured to be suitable for holding/retaining a specific product(s). Created using heat and a vacuum to shape the material, vacuum formed trays are ideal for use as container inserts or stand-alone handling trays.
