We’re here to help you get the packaging you need
As the UK’s largest distributor of protective packaging materials, we can supply an unrivalled range of standard depth single wall corrugated boxes
Single wall boxes are cardboard boxes that are made from one layer of corrugated cardboard.
The corrugated cardboard is made from one wavy layer of paper (the “fluting”) sandwiched between two flat pieced of liner paper.
The difference between single wall boxes and double wall boxes is how they're made.
A single wall carton is made from one layer of corrugated cardboard. The corrugated cardboard is made from one fluted piece of paper, lined with two smooth pieces of paper.
In contrast, a double wall box has two layers of fluted paper, with three smooth pieces of liner paper separating them.
Single wall boxes tend to be used for shipping and storing lighter items. Double wall boxes are stronger, due to the extra layer of cardboard, so are suited to heavier applications.
The weight a single wall box can hold depends on its size and the grade of cardboard used.
Our range of single wall boxes can hold from 2kg in our smallest boxes, up to 15kg in our largest boxes.
Single wall boxes can be very strong. For example, our largest single wall cartons can hold up to 15kg. For even more durable boxes, you can consider double wall cartons, which can hold even more weight.
Yes, single wall boxes can be recycled. They're made from corrugated carboard, which is accepted at kerbside in most recycling collections. We recommend that any plastic tape or packing materials are removed from your single wall boxes before putting them in the recycling bin.
Single wall cardboard boxes provide resilient protection for your packaged products. The boxes use outer and inner liners which are reinforced by specially designed fluting for added strength, making the boxes more durable and giving them extra security in transit.
They’re popularly used for:
- Delivery or shipping – single wall boxes are primarily used for shipping products from one location to another.
- Storage – need to put something in storage? Protect them with a single wall cardboard box.
- Moving – whether you’re moving to a new office or a new house, there’s a single wall box for that!
Our single wall cardboard boxes available in over 40 sizes to meet every demand. Custom options are also available, so please get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.
Our single wall boxes are manufactured from a durable and robust single layer of corrugated cardboard and can be used to send a whole host of products with a load capacity of up to 15kg. This includes fragile goods, however, we suggest opting for double wall boxes to ensure optimal product protection in transit. Should you choose single-wall boxes, it's crucial to provide adequate in-box protection to enhance product safety.
