Tool control foam, effectively multi coloured foam inserts, are a surprisingly effective option for preventing loss of tools or equipment on site.  

The different colour of the recesses where items are placed, allows field staff and technicians to see briefly whether a specific tool or item is missing. This prevents the need for costly replacements and wasted time on site (i.e. if staff arrive without all the necessary equipment). 

It is also possible to add laser etched part numbers, instructions, and even branding.
