Made from corrugated cardboard, postal boxes can be used for shipping a wide range of goods. Many postal boxes come in Royal Mail or Ann Post sizes, sometimes called PIP boxes. This means they’ll be suitable for use through these postal service providers.

Postal boxes, including our standard postal boxes, come in many different sizes. When selecting the size of postal boxes you need, you should consider the courier partner you’re using, as well as the size of the goods you’re shipping.


For example, if you’re using Royal Mail, you might want to consider their standard sizing as a guide. PIP boxes or parcel boxes are recommended to be no bigger than the following sizes:


  • Letter: 240mm (L) x 165mm (W) x 5mm (D)
  • Large Letter: 353mm (L) x 250mm (W) x 25mm (D)
  • Small Parcel: 450mm (L) x 350mm (W) x 160mm (D)
  • Medium Parcel: 610mm (L) x 460mm (W) or 460mm (D)
  • Large Parcel: > 610mm (L) or > 460mm (W) or > 460mm (D)


Yes, our range of standard postal boxes can be recycled. They’re also made from a high level of recycled content, so they’re a good eco-friendly packaging choice.


As they’re made from corrugated cardboard, they can be widely recycled at kerbside and recycled industrially too.
