We’re here to help you get the packaging you need
As the UK's largest distributor of protective packaging materials, we are here to help you find the perfect tissue paper to enhance your products.
Tissue paper is a versatile and visually appealing option to enhance presentation and protect your products. It is perfect for gift wrapping and delivering a great unboxing experience for eCommerce retailers.
Tissue provides a protective layer for delicate or fragile items. It prevents scratches, scuffs, and damage during handling and transit. Custom tissue paper can feature your logo, brand colours, or messaging. This reinforces your brand identity and makes your packaging instantly recognisable.
Tissue paper is produced from wood pulp, which is combined with water to form a slurry. This mixture is then spread onto a fine mesh screen. As the water evaporates, the cellulose fibres start to stick together, resulting in a uniform sheet of paper.
The wet pulp is then pressed and rolled to create thin sheets and dried using steam to create tissue paper. Following the drying stage, the paper is trimmed to the specified sizes.
During the production process, dyes can be added to create coloured tissue, which can also be textured or embossed to achieve a preferred appearance.
Tissue paper is available in a wide range of different types and finishes, including:
- Acid-free tissue paper - suitable for jewellery and silverware, as the items will not tarnish when wrapped.
- Bleed-resistant tissue paper - the perfect choice for garment wrapping, as the paper will not run off or stain if it encounters moisture.
- Machine glazed (MG) tissue paper – contains a shiny appearance on one side and remaining matt on the reverse to provide contrast in wrapping. Not suitable for use with jewellery, silverware or fabrics unless acid free.
- Machine finished (MF) tissue paper – our machine finished tissue paper features a matt finish on both sides.
- Printed tissue paper – perfect solution for those wanting to add a personal touch or enhance their brand image. Tissue paper can be printed with your logo, design, or message, depending on your requirements.
Most tissue paper is made from recycled paper and can be recycled if the tissue is clean and uncoated.
Tissue paper that is contaminated, e.g. with food stains, or contains glitter, foil or plastic coatings, is usually not recyclable.
