Double wallboxes are cardboard boxes that are made from a two layer of corrugated cardboard.

The corrugated cardboard is made from two wavy layerer of paper (the “fluting”) sandwiched between three flat pieces of liner paper.

Double wall cardboard boxes are ideal for packing heavier or high value items, as they’re strong, durable and provide enhanced protection.

Our standard depth double wall boxes are our core range of FEFCO 0201 boxes, featuring top and bottom flaps that need sealing with packing tape.

A standard depth double wall cardboard box has one, fixed depth. For example, it might be 500mm deep.

In contrast, a multi-depth double wall box has scores on the inside that allow you to cut it down to your required depth.

Using double wall boxes, also called double wall cartons, has lots of benefits!

The weight limits of a standard double wall box will depend on the size of the box and the grade of the cardboard used to make it. At Macfarlane Packaging, our range of standard double wall cartons can hold from 5kg up to 30kg.

Yes, our standard double wall cartons can be recycled. They’re made from corrugated cardboard, which is accepted in many household / kerbside recycling collections, as well as industrial recycling services.
